We are Arkansas Travelers, living fulltime in our 2002 Newmar Mt. Aire motorhome. We tow a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that gets us anywhere we want to go once the motorhome has been docked. We began this wonderful lifestyle in July 2005, rented our house in Arkansas, and hit the road. Now we wish we had sold the house! It will be on the market soon, now that we have determined this is what we intend to do for as long as we are able to travel.
Before retirement we were both in education in Arkansas. I was a school superintendent, she was a middle school science teacher.
We stay in touch via cell phone and internet, using a tripod mounted HughesNet dish satellite. We tried phone cards and other wireless methods before settling on the Hughes system.
TV is no problem as long as we have an open look to the southwest. We have DirectTV, both east and west coast feeds for the distant network channels, and an inmotion satellite dish on top of the motorhome to capture the signal.
