We're preparing to begin our dream of becoming snowbirds. We both retired from full time jobs in 2002 and built our log home in the Finger Lakes area of New York State near family and friends. However, we've been bitten by the travel bug.... and now our cozy log home is on the market, and we plan to either purchase a motorhome and travel to our heart's content, or purchase a park model in a 55+ RV Resort near Phoenix, AZ (Gold Canyon).

In preparation, we've been attending RV shows and researching RVs on line. We've also rented a park model resort home in Gold Canyon for the month of January 2008. We've visited this area a lot, but thought it might be a good idea to stay for a longer period of time, and really look around.

That's our plan at the moment .... as you all know, plans (especially retirees' plans) can change. We'll keep you posted on our dream!
